"Why don't I have it all figured out by now?"
Ever find yourself thinking you should have it ‘all figured out’ by now?
It happens 🙃
Who are you comparing yourself to?
I know you probably look around and think other people ‘have it together…’
But do they?
Do you know, for sure?
I speak to plenty of people who are being their most honest selves.
None of them say: “I have it all together. It’s all figured out. I’m sorted.”
Now, I’m biased because I’m a coach. People come to me when they can’t figure something out on their own and need a little help.
But every day I get direct evidence that not everyone has ‘their life sorted.’
We may wish that it could be that way sometimes — and I know so many of us could use a break (!)
But having everything sorted is an illusion. A falsehood — that is often used to motivate us. (I’m talking about our own brain as well as external forces.)
Human beings aren’t meant to be static.
You’re meant to move. You’re meant to have something to focus on.
Our focus is often scattered. And that makes us feel overwhelmed and forever-behind.
You are not behind.
But, your focus may be scattered. Instead of having to figure everything out, what is one thing you'd like to focus on, today?
Much love,
Kathryn
PS. If you’d like some support in helping you figure it out… Here’s how we can work together.
