Hello! 👋 I am off on my holidays for a few weeks — so there will be no newsletters from me until August. Until then, I hope you have a fabulous July, and I am wishing you many sweet treats and deliciousness in your life :)
Also, here’s something I shared with a client recently and thought I’d share with you too:
The 5% idea.
The idea is…
all or nothing is hard. and scary.
5%… is nothing.
So often, when people say they don’t know the answer to something, what they mean is: “I don’t know what the answer is, fully formed, at 100%.”
I’m not asking for 100%. I’m asking for 5%.
For example:
What would feel 5% more supportive?
What would feel 5% easier?
What would 5% (effort/difficulty/progress) look like?
What if you had to try something for only 5%?
Hint: you don’t need to stop at 5%. But I promise, it’s an excellent place to start.
Thoughts to play with! Let me know if it sparks something for you.
PS. if you’re fancying a chat (because why wouldn’t you want to chat to me?? 🤷🏻♀️) you can always ‘book in a session’ if you’d like to discuss something that’s on your mind, and you think a creatively-minded coach might be able to help.
Some of the things these conversations are great for are: getting clarity on a creative direction, sorting through options and decision making, coming back to truth, and finding clarity within oneself.
We may not solve all the world’s problems in one session, but we will almost certainly come away with a different perspective that is helpful for you moving forward.
Here’s what Andjela had to say:
“I came to Kathryn because I was looking for a fresh perspective on a career situation. I was aware that all the "shoulds" I imposed on myself won't allow me to see what someone experienced in leading with gentleness would.
What followed was a conversation where she met me with deep listening and questions that I journaled on for long after the conversation was over. It was exactly what I needed to get closer to the first next step in my professional journey, with less internal hurry and less overwhelm.”

Much love (and gelato!)
Kathryn
have a wonderful holiday and time off!
